I have been away from my studio for about two weeks but painting again today and tomorrow.  This is the commission I have started, referred to in the last blog post.  The canvas has received it's underpaint and the background.  It is time to start working on the fence post cacti!

    Is this from a real picture, or from a picture in your mind? It amazes me how you artists get started with a concept. I had a friend who worked for Disney and he said he just "saw" the picture he was going to draw or paint. What a wonderful talent.
