It's Time for my Annual Little Painting Give Away !!!!  And this is it:

Now a bit about the painting.....  Inspired by a frosty gin martini filled with pimento stuffed olives.... for some a tasty adult beverage.  This painting is acrylic on a canvas board and sits beautifully in a small easel on a counter top or shelf.  It could be a decorative addition to a bar area that brings color and whimsy to the area.  You could keep it for yourself or gift it to a martini loving friend, so do these two simple steps and get yourself entered in the Give Away.

I am honored that a martini drinking gent I know has seen my cocktail paintings and wrote the following sonnet in honor of these works:

Ode To The Olive

Oh, but the magical olive tree what a gift it has given, especially to me.

A more perfect romance the world has yet to see

For in the morn we make magical love with color and brush

And in the evening I turn into the olive's adoring lush.

Such fun to paint quick, colorful, little paintings.

Cocktails and Fruit.

Adult beverages with olives,lemons and limes.  I think I am loving the olives stuffed with bright red peppers.

But the lemons and limes are great too.

Painting More Wine Glasses...

A Funny Thing Happens When You Really Look and See.

Blue Tini

When you take the time to truly look at something and analyze what you see, it is amazing to realize how much is there.

Cava

Take a glass of wine for instance.  If it is a white wine, like a Chardonay, a Fume Blanc, or a Spanish Cava, the color may be almost clear, a buttery golden yellow, or anything in between.    You can see reflections of what ever surrounds you in the glass, and those reflections are upside down!!!  Now if you haven't noticed this previously, I bet you will the next time you pour a white.  If it is a red wine the color can be mauve to black.  And those room reflections are not to be seen.

And then there is the martini glass full of clear liquid...same thing...upside down reflections.  And boy, are these fun to paint!
